Instagram Algorithm 2026
Instagram has four algorithm. One for Stories, one for Reel, one for Feed, and the last one is for Explore. These ecosystem builds on top on one another. If you haven’t already, let’s practice together to optimise your Instagram account.
1 . Feed Algorithm
Your Home Feed is designed to make you feel as comfortable as possible. It’s your couch, your living room, your home. All of these while spoon-feeding you other people content. That’s why they showed you mostly content from the accounts that you follow, with a dash of advertisements and suggested accounts.

Influencers rarely talked about the importance of Stories vs Reels or Carousels, but Instagram features the recent or oldie-but-goodie posts from the creators that you often viewed their Stories.
So, make sure you are actively posting daily Stories that at least trigger an interaction at the minimum of 1 followersption text goes here -

Put some music to it, then Instagram will also include your Carousels to the Reels categories. It doubles to reach non-followers while strengthening the bond with your current followers through long form graphic/photo/video essays. Depends on your branding, you might want to consider trying out motion Carousels to catch people’s attention instead just relying on the old static typography slides.tion
